Chasin' Jane

A funky bassist from the land unk-nown (at least to y’all) crossed paths with a styling guitarist of the empire of out-dair (very) whilst on separate journeys. The latter was looking to start an Irish rock project, while the former wanted a reggae band. Following much deliberation, they decided: “Why not just merge our paths and continue this journey together?”

Having agreed, they set out to find the singer, who was rumored to be hiding in a cave deep in the vale of Whoono-sware (we do). A raven was sent ahead, and he was agreeable to the terms. After discovering his whereabouts and sharing mead, the three set out to bring their passions to the masses--while still in search of a drummer… This, however, did not deter the trio from seeking out venues for live performance.

Although they knew they still needed to find that final puzzle piece, they happened across a keyboard that could keep the beat… a keyboard named Jane. They brought her along to shows to keep time for the amateurs in the band (all three of ‘em). For a long while these three “chased Jane” for anyone who would listen. It was all they could do to keep up!

Eventually, while traveling through the country of Wairam-I (whoono-sware), a wild drummer appeared! After luring him in with mead and meat, they took him captive. They did their best to half tame him enough to keep a simple beat… but  hey, he’s here now! But, be careful! We don’t know if he still bites…

Jane has since retired, feeling that she has been rightly replaced. We honor her for all that she has done for us by keeping her name in our own name. Hence, Chasin’ Jane was born!
